A Ghanaian Muslim Hajj pilgrims performing the Islamic spiritual exercise has died in Mecca, Saudi Arabia.

The acting Public Relations Officer of Hajj Board, Abubakar Saddiq confirmed this to Adom News Sunday.

He said the deceased, Imam Ibrahim Hashim Yussif died at the mosque after performing the Tawaf which is going round the Mecca seven times.

Alhaji Saddiq explained that, the death of deceased came as a shock because he did not show any sign of ailment.

He noted that, he was Imam from the Kumbungu constituency in the Northern region.

Alhaji Saddiq added that, the Imam has since been been buried in Macca after consultations with his family members back in Kumbungu.

Meanwhile, relative of the deceased, Muhammad Hashim in an interview on Adom News said they are shocked at the death of their kinsman.

This notwithstanding, he said they have prayed for Allah to give him a better resting place.
