Former Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Reverend Professor Emmanuel Martey has labeled persons in the practice of gayism as Satanists who must not be encouraged in the country.
Speaking at the Agape House New Testament Church Saturday, the clergyman indicated that Satanists are mostly the ones in control of the country’s finances and that such acts, when entertained, makes the country look shameful.
‘’it’s a disgrace to a nation that sanctions homosexuality’…
Prof. Martey questioned a popular saying by homosexuals; “I was born with it or it’s genetic”. According to him, such statements are baseless and have no grounds because they (homosexuals), even scientists have not been able to prove whether it’s natural for someone to be born a homosexual or otherwise.
He mentioned that, it’s impossible for an individual to claim to be gay and Christian at the same time, maintaining however the fact that someone who finds him or herself in the practice can opt to be born again and denounce homosexuality completely.
‘’For somebody to call himself or herself a Christian and homosexuals or lesbian at the same. For me I don’t want any argument…they say they were born that way, okay, you were born that way but if you say you want to be a Christian there’s something, a doctrine in Christianity called regeneration, being born again if you were born homosexual and you want to be a Christian then you must be born again.” he said.
He concluded his sermon on the note that true believers find it difficult to live with such people in the environment.
Rt. Rev. Professor Emmanuel Martey is the immediate past Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana.
