Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Bernard Allotey Jacobs says he is not surprised prophets are crediting themselves with the sudden death of dancehall diva, Ebony Reigns.
According to him, prophecy is now a commercial business thus any pastor without that gift, especially in Ghana, is suffering.

Ebony Reigns, died in a gruesome road crash late Thursday evening on the Sunyani-Kumasi road.
Some prophets, both home and abroad, are claiming credit for predicting the sudden demise of the popular dancehall artiste.
Though the family of Ebony has begged them to ceasefire, many men of God continue to speak in the media about how the 20-year-old ignored their warning to seek the face of God.

But on Adom FM’s morning show, Dwaso Nsem Tuesday, Allotey Jacobs fired a salvo at such charlatans parading themselves as prophets.
He said the self-styled prophets due to their quest for money use psychology to win church members.
“There are fake prophets even in the Bible so I’m not surprised some prophets are claiming credit for Ebony’s death”, the NDC man stressed.

The NDC Central Regional Chairman bemoaned how Ghanaians worship prophets instead of Evangelists, Apostles and Teachers.
“If you are not a prophet then you are not a true man of God in Ghana which is so sad” he bemoaned.
Allotey Jacobs called on Ghanaians to be very vigilante and go to churches that will draw them closer to heaven.
