Vice Chairperson of the Women League Board, Rosalind Amoh remains optimistic the Black Princesses of Ghana will go past the first round of the 2018 world cup edition in France.
Speaking in an interview on Joy FM, the seasoned sports journalist said Ghana’s group is the best group and a good test she believes the Princesses can overcome.
Ghana is drawn in group ‘A’, consisting of host nation France, Netherland and New Zealand.
“I am very positive about Ghana’s group and I believe in the talents that we have this time around. The current black princesses are a well experienced squad with most of them having tasted world up in U17”, Rosalind said.
“This will be the second time we will be playing France and New Zealand in a world cup and I believe we can perform better against them. Most people seem scared about Ghana’s group but I am very optimistic that we will make it out of this group”, she added.
The 9th edition of the FIFA U20 tournament is slated for France from August 5 to August 24 and Ghana will be participating for the fifth consecutive time.
