Pupils of the Salvation Army School at Abompe in the Fanteakwa District of the Eastern Region now use electronic gadgets as teaching and learning materials.

The school has taken delivery of tablets and projectors from World Vision International, an international Non-Governmental Organisation that seeks the welfare of children.

The Cluster Manager of World Vision at Fanteakwa, Christopher Teye, said the decision to donate was premised on his outfit’s realization that pupils in villages have difficulty in reading and the right pronunciation of words.

Mr Teye said they have therefore donated over 30 tablets which are all incorporated with learning and teaching features to help the pupils read on their own their own.

The projectors, he said, were meant to assist teachers in the use of audio-visual aids for teaching, a teaching method which has proven to be the most effective over the ages.

Head Teacher of the school, Samuel Dompreh, who received the items on behalf of the school, said the materials will help improve the learning abilities of pupils of the schools.

He was grateful to World Vision for the assistance given.

  1. Ghanaians behave like we don’t have head to think…..why always waiting for ngo or whiteman to do a donation before we can survive whiles greedy officials can easily buy those items for the kids. Look at the money woyome stole from government n even recently Gfa money which can buy thousands of tablet for our school……stupidity
