Actress and model, Moesha Boduong, has donated some teaching and learning materials to Tebu M/A Basic School near Domeabra in the Ga South Municipality.

She donated 300 desks and some learning materials to the school last Monday.

The donation comes weeks after a report by Junior Graphic revealed the sorry state of the school which provides education to over 500 pupils in the metropolis and its environs.

This act is in line with Moesha’s Non-Government Organisation (Moesha Foundation) which aims to put smiles on the faces of children.

Speaking at an assembly of students and teachers, the head teacher of Tebu M/A Basic School, Emmanuel Badu, said the gesture was least expected especially when it had made passionate appeals for years without any help.

According to the head teacher Emmanuel Badu, this gesture was not expected.

“You know, when we had the interview with the representative from the Junior Graphic, we had no idea help as going to come this soon. We are grateful for this gesture by actress Moesha, the students are happy as well and now I can say, this is the beginning of great things to come,” he noted.

He also used the opportunity to encourage people to come to the aid of the children so they could feel comfortable in the school environment.

“I want to encourage others to also come to our aid for the burden on us is very huge, the students do not want to come to school because, there are no desk, books, etc. I urge others to follow the steps of actress Moesha and also contribute their quota,” he pleaded.

Actress Moesha, could not hold back her tears upon seeing the state of the school and how excited the students were in seeing the items.

“This is just the beginning of what my team and I have in store for children. I love children and love to see them smile and happy like I am seeing today. Education is one aspect of lives that we as a nation need to support and I am glad we have down our part in on little way,” she stated.

Moesha, has starred in movies like Pool Party, Bloodline, Grey Dawn, Rape Case, Cocoa Brown, Amakye and Dede, John and John and Everyday People.
