Chief executive Officer of Okyeman Planners, Mr. Shadrack Sapei has confirmed his outfit has petitioned FIFA to reinstate dismissed vice president of the Ghana Football Association, Mr George Kwesi Afriyie.
According to the former aide to Mr Afriyie, his boss was unconstitutionally removed without recourse to the statutes of the Association and as such, wants the intervention of the mother body.
Mr Sapei was speaking on Asempa FM’s Ultimate sports show Wednesday morning.
“I know the crises with Ghana Football now but the right thing needs to be done. George Afriyie was wrongfully dismissed and as a concerned member of the Association we want FIFA to intervene”, he explained.
The young administrator of the Division One side believes in order not to also err, they have sent copies of the petition to CAF and the GFA and hopes to be heard soon.
In April this year, the Ghana Football Association released a statement confirming Afriyie’s dismissal after an the football governing body’s Executive Committee sat.
