The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Micro Finance and Small Loans Scheme (MASLOC), Stephen Amoah,  says the entity will no longer give loans to foot-soldiers of political parties.
Mr. Amoah has vowed to protect the tax payers money and pursue all debtors including members of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).

His comment comes after some analysts have questioned the politicisation of schemes like MASLOC which appears to favour party affiliates in government.
Members of opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) are alleging that, the loans are only disbursed to NPP footsoldiers who don’t pay back.
But on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen programme Tuesday, Steve Amoah called the bluff of those making the allegations, describing them as false.

He stressed that no one is asked about their political affiliation when they apply for the loan hence the claims against MASLOC can in no way be true.
The MASLOC Boss explained that, to qualify for a loan, one must prove beyond reasonable doubt that he or she indeed owns a business.
“I operate an open door policy; I don’t care whether you are NDC or NPP. Under President Akufo-Addo, we will run MASLOC as a professional institution which will benefit every Ghanaian” he stressed.
Steve Amoah said he intends to build an integrated ICT automated Centre to enable his staff work effectively.
