Hot video: KABA’s students recall fond memories of his days as a teacher

Past Students of Ebenezer 4 JHS at Mamprobi have expressed their shock on the passing of their former teacher Kwadwo Asare-Baffour Acheampong, popularly known as KABA who passed away in the early hours of Saturday, November 18.
News of the sudden and untimely demise of radio broadcaster left many people in shock with many still in denial of the fact that the icon is no more.
Just like many others who have tried hard to come to terms with the death of the political talk show host, the students he taught her still in doubt.
Describing him as a master disciplinarian, they revealed that KABA taught them Social Studies and Religious and Moral Education at the Junior High level.
The students who affectionately called him Mr. Baffour said KABA was a teacher who wouldn’t spare the rod, encouraging them to take their studies seriously.
“In school when you decide to prove stubborn and you hear Mr.Baffour coming, you have to be alert and stop whatever you are doing or continue what you stop doing,” one of his students told GhanaWeb.
The students said they weren’t surprised at KABA’s rise to prominence in the media industry and even boasted about it.
A proud student said, “Anytime I hear him on radio I’m motivated because I can boast to people that this is my teacher, the one who taught me to be where I am today am always excited to tell people.”
Recalling one of the best advice any parent would give to a child, another student said: “In school, he mostly told us to be respectful and he didn’t want the girls to play with the boys because after using you they would leave dump you”.
KABA was pronounced dead on arrival when he was rushed to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital early Saturday morning. Until his sudden death, he was the host of popular late afternoon political talk show, ‘Ekosii sen’ on Asempa 94.7 FM.
