There is confusion at the Asafo Lorry Terminal as operators of VIP Transport Group prevents STC from using an area close to the their terminal as point of operation.
The STC claim to have secured the terminal for its operations.
But the members of the Asafo Neoplan Bus Terminal claim the supposed secured point for operations is unsafe, insisting it is by the road side.
They have moved to ground one of the STC buses from moving passengers to their destination.
It took police men from the SWAT team from the Ashanti police Headquarters led by Commander of Operations, Supt. Caesar Abanga, hours to bring sanity to the densely populated BB arena as the two protagonists held unto their entrenched position.
Police who have moved in to ensure security have arrested one person believed to be a member of the Neoplan Association.
Nhyira Fm’s Nana Yaw Gyimah reported on Adom Midday News that traffic came to stand-still on the tiny stretch of the road as many shops remained closed.

Meanwhile, the Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah who together with his deputy and KMA boss swiftly moved to save the situation says calm has been restored.
According to Simon Osei Mensah, a meeting has been scheduled for tomorrow to find a lasting solution.
