Fast-rising female artiste, Ellen Ayensuaa Gyapong, popularly known as Efe Keyz has revealed how her musical journey started.

She has also revealed how prior to her auditioning at Zylofon Media, she had participated in the Miss Ghana pageant and also tried modelling which didn’t turn out to be her thing.

The “Me Ye Obaa” hitmaker also disclosed that she was forced to leave Nigeria by road, sometime back against the perils of the famous Ebola outbreak when a pageant contract had failed her.

Efe who was speaking on Day Break Hitz on Hitz FM told Andy Dosty that the pageant left her with nothing and she had to bribe her way out of Nigeria.

“The pageant in Nigeria didn’t go well. They already had a winner. After the pageant, they abandoned us so we were stuck and stranded in Lagos. I had only 200 cedis on me yet I had to bribe customs to get back to Ghana and it was the Ebola time…” She said.

Efe Keyz is currently promoting her song dubbed “Juju”, a song that talks about a lady who fell deeply in love with a young man. She is set to drop her debut album this year.

She, however, debunked public assertions that she is copying Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage’s craft when it comes to singing.
