Head  coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah, has wished the African countries that have qualified for the 2018 FIFA World Cup tournament well.
Ghana after three successive World Cup appearances missed out on qualification for Russia 2018 after finishing third behind Egypt and Uganda in the qualifiers.
However, the 57year old believes that the other African countries who qualified ahead of Ghana can still go and make Africa proud.
“I think they all deserve to be at the World Cup, the fact that they qualified shows that they were hungrier to be at the tournament. Some of these countries that qualified have not been to the World Cup for years and for that reason their mentality towards the World Cup qualification was really high”,he told Asempasports.
“The most important thing now is for them to go to Russia, give off their best and get to a stage where no African country  has reached before, like the semifinals”.
“I believe they can do it, because they are all well and able”. I believe they can go far if they are more tactically disciplined”.
The Black Stars managed just 7 points at the end of the qualifiers.
However, Coach Kwesi Appiah wants to rebuild his team to ensure they qualify for the 2019 Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
