Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, has given an indication of the Akufo-Addo government’s readiness to massively invest in roads in 2019.

He gave meaning to the indication by listing an extensive array of roads pencilled for construction or reconstruction for the year.

According to him, the government is committed to embarking on an integrated infrastructural development programme that will move goods, food items and people from one location to another and will create jobs and prosperity and ensure value for money for Ghana.

Below, adomonline.com reproduces the roads as slated by him for your perusal but as you scan through with bated breath to find your road, be assured that we will be ready to compile your comments for publication if you do leave them here.

  1. I’ve been wondering why the government has left out the Kintampo- Bamboi and Kintampo-Busuama roads. It’s like we’re not Ghanaians. These roads have been in bad state for over 20 years and nothing is being done about it..Smh…Meanwhile most of the foodstuffs in the country come from these areas. We will advise ourselves and you will hear from us.

  2. I can’t find our road which is in bad state for sometime now. Kasoa interchange through Liberia camp and it’s surrounding areas. Thanks

  3. Am from Upper West and I will comment on my region. The roads from Jirapa – Nandom – Hamile, Fian – Bussie – Han, Fian – Issa – Kojokperi – Funsi – Tumu, Wa – Nakori – Vieri – Wichiau. Funsi as the district capital of Wa East was created in 2006 as well as Wichiau, the district capital of Wa West was also created the same year. In 2012 Nandom D/A and Issa district capital of DBI district assembly were also created. Apart from Nandom, none of the above has a tarred road linking up any major road in the region. Wichiau has it’s township roads tarred but not linking up with any major road. Issa and Funsi are worst off. From Fian through Issa to Funsi, the road network is terrible.
Now a question is asked, if Districts in Ghana still struggling to get better roads how much a Region which is newly created.
Politicians must always plan better for the development of this country.

  4. What at all have we done wrong to the npp government to warrant this hardship people of Western region. Cocoa prices has remained the same since the npp took over and to add salt on injury only Prestea, Asankragwaa – Sewi-bekwai roads were mentioned leaving about 99.9% of our bad roads out of the 2019 budget. How do we convey our goods from the villages to the market centers.? The people of Western region are highly disappointed in 2019 budget, God save us.
