The Food and Drugs Authority says it will widen its wings in the fight against the abuse of Tramadol.
This, according to the authority, will curb the recent craze of the abuse of Tramadol that has caught up with youth in Ghana.

Public Relation Officer of FDA, James Lartey told Adom News that their outfit was aware that the medicine is sold beyond limits and can be purchased on the streets, drinking spots.
He says the FDA is collaborating with the security agencies to fight the menace at all unauthorized sales points.

His comments come after some abusers hinted about where they buy the drugs from.
An interview with some users of the narcotic painkiller, Tramadol revealed that high doses of 250 and 300 milligrams of the drugs are sold at drinking spots across Ashanti Region beyond the 120 milligrams which is accepted by the board.

Two users who have shared their experience about the drugs with Luv News in Kumasi say they also get their stock from drug peddlers from neighbouring countries.
